Founded by French designer Anna Hourrière, Milou is born from years of living on the ground in Indonesia. Unlike remote overseas brands, our founder personally travels across Java workshops, vetting raw climbing vine rattan with dozens of suppliers to secure the absolute highest Grade A standard.
This hands-on exploration of the material also inspired Anna to co-author “Woven Worlds” (with KinderKloud) — an illustrated children's book introducing young readers to Indonesian craft traditions, cultural heritage, and sustainable natural materials.
